Saving land is important, but why
The South Kingstown Land Trust?
  • The South Kingstown Land Trust (SKLT) has been operating since 1983.
  • We are a Land Trust with full-time staff.
  • SKLT is a private not-for-profit corporation, with 501 ( c ) (3) classification by the IRS.
  • In 24 years of service, SKLT has protected more property that any other of the 41 other Land Trusts in the State.
9
In addition,
  • The South Kingstown Land Trust has acquired ownership or conservation rights of over 2,300 acres of natural resource land.

Members mean a lot!
  • It is with a broad membership that we are able to have an operating budget to carry out the protection of this important South Kingstown land.
  •  The land is disappearing fast into development. We need to save our community, protect the natural and scenic character  and the native habitats.
